The Aronos Research Club is hosting a Contra/Barn Dance on September 20 at 7 PM in Sonora, CA, featuring live music by Contra Band. All dances will be taught and called, and everyone is welcome. Suggested donation is $10, with proceeds supporting club activities.

The Aronos Research Club is creating a special Christmas tree display at Courthouse Square to honor military service members. They are asking community members to submit a photo (no larger than 2.5 inches), along with the name, military branch, and dates of service for themselves or a relative, to be featured on a tree ornament. Contra Dances have been held at the Aronos Clubhouse in Sonora for over 30 years. Join us every third Saturday from 7–9 PM for an evening of live music, dancing, and community fun. No partner or experience needed — a caller will teach and guide each dance, and the live Contra Band has been playing together for decades.
