Aronos Research Club is hosting a barn dance on Saturday, March 21st at 7 PM with live contra band music. All dances are taught, everyone is welcome, and the suggested donation is $10 to support club activities.

Students in grades 5–12 can enter a statewide music contest for a $500 prize by submitting two performances in different genres by April 1, 2026.

History Mystery Walks will take place every Friday from March 27 to May 29. Meet at the courthouse at 10:00am and enjoy a 20 minute walk to a different historical site each time!

We are having a social barn dance series ( three Friday nights) that are being taught and called by Maya Roe. Everyone is invited, no experience is required. Come dance, make friends, enjoy families and community. As always the music is provided by our volunteer string band. Snacks are provided. Come to the beautiful Aronos Research Clubhouse in wonderful downtown Sonora.

T’ai Chi Ch’uan classes with Sifu Rono (“The T’ai Chi Guy”) are held at The Aronos Research Club (37 Elkin Street, Sonora, CA) every Wednesday from 10:30–11:30 a.m. Classes are open-ended and suitable for youth, adults, and seniors. For October only, the cost is a sliding scale of $5–$25. Starting in November, students can choose between a drop-in or monthly rate. Participants should wear loose clothing, flat shoes, and bring a smile.

The Aronos Research Club Health and Wellness Committee, inspired by our Blue Zones Project designation, is excited to announce a new Yoga class every Monday, Wednesday, and Fridayfrom 9 to 10 am. Annie leads the session with gentle yoga designed for all ages and levels. We have a wonderful friendly group so come have fun at the Clubhouse.
